Build things that go inside people's walls.

We are small, we make mains-voltage hardware, and we ship it ourselves. That combination means the work is unusually concrete: what you design on Tuesday is in a wall by autumn, and if you get it wrong someone's lights do not come on.

What it is like

The constraint is real

You cannot patch a switch that is screwed into a wall in another country. It focuses the mind in a way software rarely does.

Small team, wide remit

Nobody here owns one narrow slice. Engineers talk to the people answering support email, because that is where you find out what you got wrong.

We say what is true

Our spec sheet says ±2% and means it. If a claim will not survive a customer with a meter, it does not go on the box.

Under one roof

Tooling, boards, firmware and assembly happen in the same building, so the feedback loop between designing something and building it is short.

Open roles

If nothing here fits but you think you should be here, say so anyway. We have made roles for people before.

Embedded Firmware Engineer Full time · On site · Engineering Open

You would own the firmware that runs on every unit we ship: the Matter stack, the Thread radio, the power-harvesting logic that keeps a no-neutral switch alive, and the over-the-air update path.

What you would do

  • Build and maintain the Matter 1.3 implementation across all six models
  • Squeeze reliable operation out of a supercapacitor budget measured in milliamps
  • Own the signed OTA pipeline, including the rollback path when an update goes wrong
  • Sit with support once a fortnight and read the tickets yourself

What we are looking for

  • Shipped embedded C or Rust on a resource-constrained target
  • Comfortable with an oscilloscope and a logic analyser, not just a debugger
  • Some exposure to 802.15.4, BLE or Matter, or the appetite to learn it fast
  • A habit of writing down why, not just what

Details

  • Salary: band to be confirmed
  • Location: on site, address to be confirmed
Hardware / Electronics Engineer Full time · On site · Engineering Open

Mains-side design, safety compliance and the physical guts of the product. You would be the person who signs off that a relay fails open.

What you would do

  • Design and iterate the switching, metering and power-harvesting circuitry
  • Take products through UL 20, EN 60669 and AS/NZS 3112 approval
  • Work with the assembly line on test fixtures and the 72-hour burn-in rig
  • Chase down the field failures that only appear at scale

What we are looking for

  • Experience with mains-voltage design and the safety standards that govern it
  • Familiarity with energy metering ICs and trailing-edge dimming
  • Enough manufacturing exposure to design something that can actually be built

  • Salary: band to be confirmed
  • Location: on site, address to be confirmed
Customer Support Specialist Full time · Hybrid · Support Open

Half of our support email is a wiring question and half is an LED driver behaving badly. You would be the person who works out which, and who tells engineering when the same thing turns up for the fifth time.

What you would do

  • Answer installation and compatibility questions from owners and electricians
  • Grow the compatibility list from what customers actually report
  • Turn recurring problems into documentation, or into a bug
  • Handle returns and warranty claims start to finish

What we are looking for

  • Enough electrical understanding to read a wiring photo, or the will to learn it
  • Writing that is plain and calm, particularly when someone is not
  • The instinct to say "I do not know, let me find out" rather than guess

Details

  • Salary: band to be confirmed
  • Location: hybrid, base to be confirmed
