Draft, not yet in force. These documents are a structured starting point, not legal advice. Every highlighted field needs your real details, and the whole set should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer in each market you sell into before you publish or take a single order.

What we collect

What the switches send

Nothing, by default. Commissioning happens over Bluetooth and control runs over Thread on your own network. Schedules, scenes, presence data and energy history stay on the device. If you switch on remote access we relay encrypted commands only, and cannot read their contents.

Why we are allowed to hold it

To perform the contract when you order, to meet tax and product-safety record-keeping duties, and on the basis of legitimate interest for fraud prevention. Marketing email goes out on consent alone and every message carries a one-click unsubscribe.

How long we keep it

Order records for 7 years, as tax law requires. Support threads for 3 years. Marketing consent until you withdraw it.

Your rights

Access, correction, erasure, portability, and objection to processing. Write to hello@sunswere.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are unhappy with the outcome you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Who else sees it

List your processors: payment provider, shipping carrier, email platform, hosting. Name them, say where they are, and note any transfer outside your region.

Terms of sale

Pre-orders

A pre-order reserves stock from the batch shown on the product. We charge when your order ships, never when you place it. You can cancel any time before dispatch at no cost. If a shipping date slips by more than 30 days we will tell you and you may cancel.

Prices and tax

All prices are shown in US dollars and exclude tax. VAT, sales tax or GST is calculated at checkout according to your delivery address. Duties for listed destinations are prepaid, so nothing is owed on delivery. We may correct pricing errors before dispatch and will contact you if one affects your order.

Delivery

Free over $99, otherwise $8.50, tracked, typically 3 to 6 working days after dispatch. Risk passes to you on delivery.

Installation and your responsibility

These products connect to mains electricity. In most regions installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician and may need to be notified to a local authority. You are responsible for complying with the wiring regulations where you live. We are not liable for loss caused by incorrect installation.

Our liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Have a lawyer check this clause against local consumer law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of your jurisdiction. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Returns

Thirty days from delivery to return anything for a full refund, including units that have been installed and wired in. We cover return postage. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 14 days of the goods reaching us.

We ask that you return the faceplate and module together with the bypass capacitor and screws. Missing parts may reduce the refund. Damage beyond what is needed to assess the product may also reduce it.

EU and UK customers additionally have the statutory 14-day right to withdraw. Our 30-day policy is longer and sits on top of it, not instead of it.

Warranty

Two years from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship, extendable to five at registration. We will repair or replace, at our option, and cover shipping both ways.

Not covered: damage from incorrect installation, from operating outside the published load and temperature limits, from lightning or supply surges, or from opening the module. Cosmetic wear is not covered. The warranty is in addition to your statutory rights, which in the EU and UK run for a minimum of two years regardless of anything written here.

Support window

Every model carries a published support end date, after which we stop issuing firmware updates. The switch keeps working as an ordinary Matter device after that date, because nothing about its everyday behaviour depends on our servers.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and runs no third-party scripts as built. If you add analytics, advertising or embedded video, you will need a consent banner in the EU and UK, and this section will need rewriting to list each cookie, its purpose and its lifetime.
